Each free-to-attend gathering is topic based, but there will be time set aside towards the end for open dialogue. Future topics will be suggested by attendees. Your suggestions can be anything having to do with your perspective on such subjects as spirituality, science, your personal philosophy, the meaning of life, thoughts you have about human culture, society, etc., but they cannot be about politics, religion (including religious icons or figureheads), or atheism.
Promotions of books, clubs, products, etc., are also not acceptable dialogue topics (attendee suggested books are limited to our learning library and personal write-up sections). In dialogue, YOU are the book. ... Yes, you may have read things written by others that you appreciate or identify with, but HOW and WHY did YOU find it interesting? Don't promote the book or products of another during dialogue but do express how you were influenced by just saying for example, "I read somewhere that 'such and such', and I identified with that because of my thoughts about 'so and so'." .....
Consideration and respect for each other's opportunity to express thoughts is also very important. ... If you are a bit shy and need time to warm up to talking, that's fine. We will be very understanding and give you the time you need to feel comfortable. Lurking is inconsiderate and can be intimidating to others. Disruption will be dealt with appropriately, including but not limited to muting, closing camera view, closing access to the event, or blocking.
These gatherings take place in person or online, at unrecorded, free-to-attend. events. All are welcome and please invite a friend. These are 'word-of-mouth' gatherings. There is no promotional social media group/event page. These events will NOT be recorded or placed on any social media platform. Recording these gatherings is strictly prohibited.
Please register below to receive details. By registering, you acknowledge that you are an adult, have read and understand these guidelines, and that you are attending and sharing according to your own volition.
We warmly look forward to learning more about your perspective. Thank you for contributing to the dialogue!
